Wow, the Clint Eastwood Superbowl Commercial: www.chrysler.com/SuperBowl Ad (is probably one of the most powerful that I have ever seen.  Chrysler has capitalized on Clint Eastwoods image and reputation, who may be a little older but is still looked upon as a Hero from several generations and the message is incredible.  It’s also great that Chrysler has made the point the the Motor City and Detroit are coming back and really did not speak much of Chrysler until the very end of the Super Bowl Commercial from Chrysler and the Endorsement of the Chrysler Super Bowl Commercial for Chrysler and Detroit.

Chevrolet’s Superbowl commercial is probably going to result in litigation with Ford which may give both of them some additional benefit, however the Chevrolet Superbowl Commercial was very weak and really did not say too much except picking on Ford Truck’s, which Ford has already had a great response as to why they did not respond to Chevrolet’s Super Bowl Commercial Claim’s.  I am not sure if Chevrolet’s Advertising Agency is still Campbell Ewald but if they were at the heart of this disaster, I am sure they will deffinately regret this bashing of the competition for years to come as that goes back to marketing 101 – “Don’t Bash Y0ur Competition” especially if they can rebut your claim’s!  It make’s you look like your grasping as straw’s and doing whatever it takes to gain market share.  I really think that “Super Bowl Chevy Commercial” is going to back fire on General Motors.

It may be unbelieveable to some people that Ford did not buy any Super Bowl Advertising, however the Marketing Department may have decided that the cost was not worth the benefit as Ford seems to be doing a great job and is gaining market share and setting sales records even in a difficult economy?  The Marketing Director at Ford, did admit after the fact, that he may have made a bad decision by not participating in the Auto Manufacturers Super Bowl Advertising.

Chrysler’s Super Bowl Commercial featuring Clint Eastwood as spokes person for both Chrysler, the Motor City, and Detroit, was an incredible work of art in the Marketing and Advertising world!   This Chrysler Commercial will be the “Talk of the Industry” for many years to come especially taking advantage of such a recognized spokesperson as Clint Eastwood’s Super Bowl Commercial, who has already made a Mark as a “Hero” in over three generation’s and will go down in the Marketing and Advertising History of Super Bowl Commercial’s.

Glad Madonna is off the stage as the Half Time Super Bowl performer, I think Madonna is one of the least talented Half Time Super Bowl Performers, to ever make it big, wonder if she was lip sinking again.  The only good thing I can say is she has a great staff of Costume Designer’s, Correographers, etc., to pull this off, but since Madonna agreed to pay for the performance, it’s understandable why they had Madonna perform over Elton John or the other candidates at the Half time Super Bowl Celebration.  At least there were no costume malfunction’s for any one to see her wore out parts.
